Share resources for quality education and research – Governor

The Second Annual Colloquium on the theme of “Sharing Resources and the Best Practices for Quality Higher Education and Research” was organized at Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh. Shri Satyadeo Narain Arya, Hon’ble Governor, Haryana was the chief guest to inaugurate the colloquium. Addressing the academic leaders, he said that only quality education and research can tap the energy of the youth in most appropriate way. Academicians across the world are aware of this fact and governments are promoting research and innovation in higher education policies. India was the ‘Vishwa Guru’ in ancient times, and centres of higher education such as Kashi, Takshshila, Nalanda, Prayag, Mithila etc. were beacons for scholars and learners. This was the time when the students were educated according to their interests and developed their personalities, but Lord Macaulay’s English education system changed that completely. It is demand of the hour to change the education system as a whole. It can be got done with the help of information technology, online facilities, skill development and research innovations. Hon’ble Governor also announced a grant of Rs 11 lakh to Central University of Haryana.  On this occasion, the Education Minister, Haryana, Prof. Ram Bilas Sharma was present as a special guest who exhorted the academic leaders of the state to be the part of collaborative exercise.

Second Annual Colloquium organized in CUH

Prof. R.C. Kuhad, the Vice-Chancellor, CUH presided over the event organised under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development scheme of Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching. Prof. Kuhad elaborated the objectives of the colloquium and discussed the importance of the event and remarked that the Draft National Education Policy-2019 lays emphasis on optimum utilisation of existing resources through the concept of integrated approach to education that facilitates sharing of resources among the different levels of institutions starting from foundational level to university level, and vocational institutions as mutually complementary units. Referring to the budget speech of the Hon’ble Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, he underlined the need to find appropriate ways and means for sharing of resources as well as best practices among the higher education institutions to learn from one another while pursuing the path of quality higher education. He proposed to host an online ‘Resource Sharing Portal’ also which will work like a database of equipment, research and laboratory facilities, consultancy services, print and digital resources available with the participating universities for the use by the students, researchers and faculty.

Teaching-Learning is an Endless Process–Education Minister

Prof. Ram Bilas Sharma, Hon’ble Education Minister, Haryana said that the Institutes of higher education can be achieved the desired growth with mutual cooperation only. He said that education is a man making process and Teaching learning is an endless process. Universities are established with the objective of research and it should be fulfilled necessarily. Mentioning Maharana Pratap and Shaheed Udham Singh, he urged the academicians to regain the glory in the world. The Education Minister encouraged the Vice Chancellors and Academic Administrators to provide the benefits of their expertise and experience to the students. On this occasion, the dignitaries released the Information Bulletin of the University.

Prof. K.P. Singh, Vice Chancellor, Choudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Prof. R. B. Solanki, Vice Chancellor, Choudhary Ranvir Singh University, Prof. Vijay Kayat, Vice Chancellor, Choudhary Devi Lal Unibersity, Dr. Shreyansh Dwiwedi, Vice Chancellor, Maharshi Balmiki University, Dr. B. N. Tripathi, NRC Aquine, as well as other participants shared their observations. All the Vice Chancellors, Deans, Directors and educational administrators presented their shareable resources, lab equipment, best practices and ideas and discussed the appropriate ways and means for sharing of resources during second session of the event. The event was organized by organising committee convened by Dr. Pramod kumar and Dr. Surender Singh.
